[Verse 1]
In Jurassic times dinosaurs were brutes,
I was a chimpanzee with a mouthful of fruits.
A T-Rex stomped by with a jaw full of dread,
Just missing my tail by a hair on my head.
He roared at the heavens, a brain-cell so small,
He tripped on a fern and he took a great fall!
And I sat in the branches, chewing a pear,
Watching apex predators cry out in despair.

It lunged ahead with a mindless attack,
While I wrote a tiny poem about my favorite snack.
I swung from a tree dodging while fleeing,
Not related to their desire to kill and eat other beings.

Why do big-toothed monsters with microscopic brains,
Wreck the whole planet and cause so much pain?
While the soulful little herbivores, thoughtful and wise,
Duck for cover from the bullies of a monstrous size!

Big teeth, small brains wreck the world with their greed,
Break free of the paradigm and plant a new seed!
Don’t bowing to an ancient mythological fraud,
When you can live in peace as nature is God.

[Verse 2]
Reborn as a Pagan in the dark age of myth,
I was harvesting mushrooms by an ancient monolith.
When a forceful crusade colonized my tribe,
The threat on our life really ruined our vibe.

They built massive cathedrals and told us to fear,
They attacked anyone who didn’t bow or adhere,
Their dogma set fire to wisdom in the dark,
As I hid behind a tree, and admired the bark.
I feel the loving oneness with nature all along,
I live in harmony with the Earth as I sing this song.

Now I’m an artist in a smog-choked town,
Eating plant based meals that come from the ground.
Across town lies a factory farm full of pain,
As farm animals are exploited for short-term gain.
Giant megacorps buying up congress and land,
With a steak in their jaw and a bribe in their hand!

So many eat meat and drink dairy queen,
Unaware of the monsters that goes unseen.
So I sing about the shadows, while I play this tune,
To bring light to this darkness like the sun and the moon.
We can nurture our bodies with plant-based proteins,
Let’s celebrate freedom for all sentient beings.

Which side are you on? Are you feeling the heat?
As the climate gets cooked by the folks eating meat?
Or bowing to an ancient mythological fraud?
Or do you recognize like I do that Nature is God?
